Kenneth R. O’Rourke Jr., is a Louisiana native and currently resides in Atlanta. Kenneth received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Morehouse College in 1998.  After graduation, he worked as a consultant with GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals and King Pharmaceuticals for a total of ten years.  In 2009, he returned home to Louisiana and earned his Juris Doctor Degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2012.  During law school, he was a Westerfield Scholar and distinguished himself through his memberships in Phi Alpha Delta, Sports and Entertainment Society, Intellectual Property Law Society and served as President of the Black Law Student Association (BLSA).  He was also a dedicated school ambassador and served as a member of the Loyola University Staff and Student Diversity Committee.  Also, while in law school, Kenneth was able to sharpen his legal skills as an intern for The Honorable Judge Ralph E. Tyson (United States District Court Middle District of Louisiana) as well as a notable Atlanta-based entertainment law firm.

After graduating from law school, Kenneth worked with the Garden City Group as a member of the legal team that was responsible for legal work pertaining to the British Petroleum/Deepwater Horizon oil spill.  Kenneth then returned to Atlanta and was admitted to the Georgia State Bar in July of 2013.  Later that year, Kenneth was also admitted to practice in all state courts within the State of Georgia, the Federal District Court in the Northern District of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the State of Georgia.  For three years, Kenneth was (a counselor at law) with the law firm of Townes Davis & Associates, LLC (http://www.townesdavis.com) where he worked on several medical malpractice, wrongful death trials, mediations and settlements which yielded several hundreds of thousands of dollars for the firm’s clients.  Kenneth is a trial lawyer at heart, and loves the opportunity to represent his clients in court to seek justice on their behalf.  Kenneth focuses his practice in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice, criminal defense, entertainment, business formation and contract law.  Kenneth also serves as court-appointed attorney for the City of Atlanta and has successfully represented hundreds of indigent clients with misdemeanor offenses.

When Kenneth is not trying cases in court or handling civil matters, he spends time speaking to local elementary students and mentoring college students at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia along with his fellow members of The Judson Lyons Society.  In addition, Kenneth is an active financial donor to Morehouse College, his alma mater. Last, Kenneth enjoys music production, deejaying, watching sports and enjoying time with friends, family and his bulldog, Cezar.
